Srishti Exhibition

The Srishti Collective held in the month of December, was an exhibition put up for the graduating students to showcase their work. The place that was to be curated was different from the previous graduations because all the glass panels were taken down for this Graduation.
The exhibition was divided into four clusters:
Designing with Earth in Mind
In Quest of the Story
Constructing Experiences
Designing for New opportunity

The whole team was divided and each group was to handle a part of the space, be it the installation, the spacing, the artificats, the seating etc.
Plan of the Space
Since most of the glass panels were taken down, the major problem faced was you could see everything from far, be it the panels, products or any other artifact. The area that our group was incharge of was majorly the film department. Apart from the films, there were books and installations that were to be put up in the area that was chosen.
Final Exhibtion Day.
The mirror installation for the cluster "In quest of Story", with a quote on it saying, "Wherever you are is the entry point."
The mirror installtion for the cluster, with the qoute "Wherever you are is the entry point." by Kabir.
Project Descriptios were placed in front of each project which would explain what the project was about. Apart from this the space also had cluster panels, giving details of what te cluster meant, student work descriptors, mug shots for students etc.
A black board was placed in front of the screening room to give information as to what screening was playing.
The project which had the animation film was painted black so that it would become a dark room. All the projects had spotlights highlights tha main parts of each student's work.
Katha was a project which had books and installations that were to be curated. Giving them a space which was spacious and bigger seemed ideal. Each book had a special display system and apart from that tables and chairs were also placed for people to sit and read the books if they wished to do so.
Spirals were special addition to the space. The students went to a lot of places for their re-serach and final projects. The spirals contained images of their entire process. A person was to stand below the spiral so as to look at it.
Posters for the films were put up on uprights in a diagnol format.
The process map for the project. Each project had a process map which explained how the project went about.
The documentation photographs put up on the panels.
The entire space looked really different from what we were working in. The lighting, space division, curation was a big part of the exhibition.
