Fedrigoni Sample Pack – Sirio Ultra Black
The concept revolves around four crucial words from the project brief:
“Fedrigoni paper can be pressed, bent, cut and folded into almost any form you can imagine”
These words inspired me to develop my concept to involve an engaging interactive/haptic experience into Fedrigoni’s existing sample pack.
At the moment, the sample pack provides little more than six sheets of Sirio Ultra Black paper with a photocopied sheet of information in a relatively plain white envelope.
However, my concept consists of a poster design with a square perforated into it. The user would either simply use the poster as its initial purpose; a poster, or, alternatively they could tear away the excess poster to reveal the perforated square that they then ‘press, bend. cut and fold’ into a finished object that personifies the colour black.
By inviting the user to ‘press, bend cut and fold’ the Sirio Ultra Black paper, they become involved in a much more engaging and gratifying experience because as they interact with the poster, not only are they learning about the product, they are also becoming more emotionally and creatively invested in it.
