Project Highlights
The "Parrot & Paperback" CD Cover was designed for a local artist who specializes in making music from random sounds. (In this case, a talking parrot and a paperback being dropped onto various services.)
Having worked with designers before, the client had a clear concept of what he wanted in regards to colors and overall design sense. In addition, it was important that the cover be eye-catching and stand out among other cover images, as the product would be listed on online websites.
I sketched out several possibilities, including the one below, while some of them featured the parrot on the front cover. In the end, the decision was to focus on the typography - which kept it simpler and easier to read online at a small size.
