the problem: to develop (through the design development phase) ways
to creatively integrate materials, systems, and geometry into a tangible and
persuasive architecture using a selected design proposal

the solution: the new design is comprised of stepping aluminum
modules that ascend over the waterfront and descend toward the city. the
modules generate a transparent glass space underneath as a grand lobby,
shaded by thin pillars of greenery which act as extensions of the green roofs
which rest above. bringing nature back into the city and creating clean, crisp
connections between materials were the biggest goals for the project.
