Diabetes Brochure

Receiving a diabetes diagnosis is a distressing, stressful, and difficult time. The materials sent to new diabetics by the American Diabetes Association are helpful, but can be overwhelming in the diversity of information, applicability to the recently diagnosed, and the disorganization of style, visuals, and types of materials. This brochure sought ot consolidate the most important information into a single brochure, one which better communicates the ADA's message of hopefulness, treatment, and continued quality of life.

Art Direction, Copywriting/Editing, Graphic Design, Illustration
Starting with this simple question, "Where Do I Begin?" this brochure seeks to answer the most pressing and common questions after receiving a diabetes diagnosis.
Easy to understand and follow visuals replace pages and pages of copy and text in previous materials. Digestibility of content was a primary concern, along with applicability of information, timeliness, and carrying the message of positivy common to many of the ADA's messages.

Bold typography, large images, and solid graphic elements are designed to carry impact across a multitude of audiences and demographics.
The custom hand illustration was designed to be a continuation of the hand illustration used prominently across many other ADA materials. The pocket folder in the rear of the brochure was designed to carry additional information, local support groups, and a series of helpful recipes for the recently diagnosed.
