Those familiar to the Richmond, Virginia area may have seen a popular slogan stickered and graffitied around the city stating the phrase "Eat at Home". I could imagine many different meanings to be interpreted from the saying, and I felt a conncection with home-prepared meals. Eating at home isn't necessarily shutting one's self away from purchases, it's actually a celebration of the possibilities available to one who tries to create meals in the kitchen. Local farmers' markets depend on the customers who want that close-to-home culinary experience. This illustration is hand drawn and touched up in Adobe Illustrator to emphasize the vibrant variety of creations that are possible with even the simplest of ingredients. The asterisk, also found on the miscellaneous city stickers, allows one to question what eating at home means to them. I may continue to draw a variety of other arrangements of the kinds of foods available at the local markets.
