2014 was an exciting year for me as a vector artist.
I had the pleasure of meeting so many of you at Gallery Exhibitions, contributing with the Poster Posse to deliver creative tributes, quite a number of interviews and featurettes in magazines / ezines.
Also had the INCREDIBLE HONOR of being Commissioned by Adobe
to be their start up page for Illustrator CC.

Here's a collection of the "in-between" sketches during the year.
Some are rather quick doodles, others almost near completed compositions or just projects which were never published. But a majority of them are just me unwinding and exploring my craft.

 

And a few are available as final hand signed Limited Prints.

I'm a big believer that "sketches, should not be neglected and left for dead.
Instead, they should be shared".

Watched it and a few days found myself sketching this one....SPRING BREAKERS vector sketch

This last vector sketch is rather important for me becuase it marks
where I've decided to play with the brushes in Illustrator to deliver a more "painterly" attribute than the standard flat shapes and tones that are synonymous with vector.
You see, for the past 17 years I've only been using either the Pen + Pencil+ Gradiant tool.
Well ever since this sketch in October - November / December were busy enough for me to feel comfortable
with adding the brush into my creative comfort zone and is represented injobs like
- the Light - LEON the Professional - SHORTLIST BREAKING BADHoliday, the Mandalorian
& my most recent, Thank you to Pop Culture
