Set of five :30 second TV spots created for UC San Diego Health Systems 2014/2015 TV campaign. Each with incredible stories of recovery. I was responsible for the editing and delivery of all 5 spots. These are currently being broadcast in Southern California and the surrounding areas. Filmed by Mark Lyon.
TV Spot #1 - Cardiovascular Ad
Amanda delivered a healthy baby girl. Moments later, she became ill. At first diagnosed with pneumonia, Amanda soon began to experience heart failure. Quickly transferred to nationally-ranked UC San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, it was determined that Amanda had a rare heart disorder that affects 1 in 2,000 pregnant women, peripartum cardiomyopathy. While emergency interventions – which included a unique medical implant – initially saved her failing heart, it was not enough.

TV Spot #3 - Trauma Ad feat. Don Rosenberg, Executive Vice President of Qualcomm Incorporated
After crashing his bike, Don’s was severely injured. Every rib on his right side was broken, several vertebrae were cracked and there was bleeding in his chest which caused his lung to collapse. His injuries required rapid, multidisciplinary care from an expert trauma team. Thanks to the coordinated response of UC San Diego Health System physicians, Don is fully recovered and can share his remarkable story.
