EXODUS
Cafe & Bar

STATUS - Proposed

"If you wanna fly, you got to give up the sh*t that weighs you down."

The name Exodus was initiated as an invitation to youth and professionals living in the area to escape from their routines, relax, have a good meal, and probably hit some drinks at night. Located in a business area, the cafe also serves for lunch with different menu offered during the office break hours. The day and night menu variations concept generated the idea of the design to be dynamic as it is also expected to entertain the guests as well.

Hundreds of unfinished plywoods are cut in shapes and placed along the interior side walls and ceilings. In daylight, the cafe is designed to look organic, chic, and friendly, while at night, with strip lights emitting from between the sheets, the illumination is expected to wash the entire space and when the color is changed, the interior ambience is also expected to change dynamically. A widescreen at the centre is installed at the back wall to project visual stimulation for the guests, with the DJ stage is placed at the centre to play the music and design the auditory experience.
