Situated at the outskirt of the city in East Java, the house is expected to be homey enough for all the families to gather around after working hours and during festive season, since the town itself are lacking of facilites compared to the urban cities, especially the entertainment facility.

 

A karaoke room is then designed to accommodate the singing and drinking activities for families and friends who come visiting the residence. The oval layout with a ceiling recessed in the same shape is expected to express the 'bonding', friendly ambience, supported by the light-toned wooden planks from trees like birch and beech used as the major materials furnishing the design.

 

More darker color hues are applied in the living room, where wooden planks and the texture of walnut and mahogany trees furnish the cove ceiling, its profile, and the TV panel backdrop. Elegant impression is designed in the space to welcome guests and the use of brick walls is nonetheless to balance the luxurious look with humble earthiness.
