This short film titled “Night” is an opening clip I made about Shinya Shokudo.
Shinya Shokudo is a book series that talk about an unusual eatery that only open after midnight, and its standard menu consists of just a single choice. However, the customers still come for the amusing chatter and the proprietor’s willingness to cook any dish that they request. Each episode is about simple yet delicious homemade dishes along with warm and touching story of the customer who ordered it.

To illustrate the warmth I felt after reading these stories, I drew out ink brushes and patterns in the background. When the clam and loving music played, the ink brushes and patterns slowly appeared on screen, highlighting images of the main story characters and delicious food.
