This is a project that is close to home for me. As a former hunter, ex serviceman, and actual gun owner, I am moved to question the present fascination Americans have with guns. Even considering the recent tragic shootings that have plagued this country, Americans (actually, those in a position to make the laws) seem to be even more passionate about loosening gun laws and reasonable restrictions meant to make gun ownership safer and enjoyable. This seems a bit counter intuitive to me. However, I have set about to explore visuals that express this phenomenon. It is not my desire to push an agenda but to artistically illustrate the absurd nuances of this perplexing American disagreement.
In the coming months, I will be adding other images to this series. It's going to get interesting.
