On January 18th, 1985 the 2nd annual Sundance Film Festival began in Park City, Utah.  This monumental Festival showcased 3 highly influential and exceptional films: Blood Simple, Stranger Than Paradise, and The Times of Harvey Milk. In honor of the 30 year anniversary of this event I've created a series of fan art movie posters.

 

Blood Simple marked the first time Joel Coen directed, Ethan Coen produced and the screenplay was co-written by the two. This award winning combo has brought us countless classics since this movie, but my favorite is still the first.

 

I used specific scenes from the movie as reference, but these frames do not exist within the film itself.
