Entanglement

The exhibition "Entanglement" is composed of two parts: "Spore" and "Thoughst". Both combine decorative elements used for centuries in the arts of Islam and patterns of traditional Polish laces woven by folk artist.
In quantum physics “entanglement” is an inexplicable phenomenon, it involves the immediate exchange of information between the two spaced apart molecules that were born in the same place and time. Such molecules exchange information without the time factor which is usually needed to send a signal. They behave as if they are in contact with each other, as if they were linked, regardless the distance that separates them.
The trace of similar entanglement can be also found in basic aesthetic codes of most cultures. The same symmetrical patterns are present in the art of pre-Columbian Indians, the Tibetan mandala, in Polish handmade laces or the Islamic ornaments. Coming from the interior of the human soul codes of beauty and harmony are quite universal around the world. This shows that at a deep, unconscious level, all derive from the same source, all come from one place.
