IIT Guwahati has a student community of over 5000+ students. With the increase of smart-phone usage in the campus, there was a need of an application which could provide basic campus utilities on the go. We analysed the present intranet system and sorted out various utilities on the basis of their importance to convert them into the form of a mobile application. The work consisted of existing solutions analysis, persona and scenario creation, information architecture, workflows, wireframing, low and high fidelity prototyping, User Interface Design and reference guides. The Beta version of the application has been developed and further refinements are being done
To understand the problem at hand, the first step was to analyze the existing similar Apps (Stanford and Harvard) and understanding the structure of IITG intranet. This was followed by conducting a user survey to understand the users of the application.
