Every fall semester, junior fashion design students at Philadelphia University participate in the American Heart Association's Red Dress Competition. The red dress competition is part of the association’s initiative to raise awareness of heart disease as the leading cause of death in women. My dress was constructed in Rome, Italy as part of my study abroad program. All my fabrics were purcahsed in Florence, Italy.
