Bibliobox Branding & Web Design



BIBLIOBOX is a socially conscious book-hoarders dream. Each month they send their subscribers a box with three pre-read works of literature sourced from charity-based thrift stores and public library sales. In doing so the company is sharing great literature with the world while also reducing waste by reusing books and supporting non-profit and charitable organizations.

A brand was created to bridge the traditional look of old books with the modern feel of an online company. Thus, a geometrically simple icon juxtaposed with a modern serif wordmark combine to create the appropriate balance. This balance is carried over to a web site that is simple, elegant and reminiscent of the typesetting of old books. The tagline “Read well, do good.” was created to encapsulate BIBLIOBOX’s dedication to both great literature and social responsibility.
