Lamp was a quick hack for an internal hackathon at my school. Our business plan was to sell 200W lightbulbs (with included extension cord and socket!) for $20 to the students who inhabited our poorly lit rooms in our eight floor dormitory. We built a quick landing page with a 30min countdown from when our presentation started, to pressure students into signing up to buy a "Lamp". We got about 10+ orders, and 3 actually paid.
When you first entered the site, you'd be greeted with a dark theme. Once the student enters their room number for their order, they can click the "light switch" to submit.
Clicking the "light switch" will turn on the "Lamp" and brighten up the site.
