Soundproof Flyer llustration & Design
Soundproof is a Vancouver-based collective of DJs and Live Performance Artists dedicated to the promotion of all-night electronic music parties with a safe and friendly atmosphere. Since 1998 Soundproof have promoted their events via word-of-mouth to create a close-knit community of loyal followers.
Below is a selection of flyers I have created over the past seven years or so. Each event is given a visual theme upon which to base the decor, performance visuals and flyer artwork. With free reign given for content and art direction, I have been allowed the opportunity to explore various illustrative styles and develop my skills as an illustrator. From 1970's rock poster to Polynesian getaway postcard, each new flyer is a chance to create a piece of memorabilia for people to associate great times spent with great people.
