Explore More is my Graphic Design undergraduate thesis project. It began as an interpretation of a short paragraph and went in the direction of experimentation and interaction through design. I explored the human senses individually to discover how we use them and what creates a complete experience. This lead me to be interested in the experience and interaction with others. It is fascinating to see how others think and interact with objects and with each other.

 

Following, eleven KCAD designers created letters as a design and typographic experiment. They were given a letter bank to choose from, and set free to create a letter however they desired and submit it upon completion. Final letters were then scanned or photographed and set into the design piece.

 

Explore More is by designers and for designers. It signifies and demonstrates the power of expression and experimentation within design and typography. It’s a unique form of interaction and collaboration.
