Moon v Sun

Recorded late one evening inside my Magazine Street apartment in New Orleans, LA, 'Moon vs. Sun' is a song written during a despondent period in my life when I rarely saw the sun, but desperately needed to be in the light, both metaphysically and physically.  This is a bare bones acoustic version of the song, set to day and night aerial shots of New Orleans, footage of the performance of the song, nightlife, and a beautiful full moon over the city.  It was posted as a promotion for Birdfinger's Summer Solstice concert.

'Moon vs. Sun'
I will screen the sunlight
Burning in neon light
Keep an eye out for me
I'll bring you home the morning
It's scary now to see
It's just the moon and me
I will run from sunrise
Dancing in starry night
Punching holes of regret
And filling them with hopelessness
I can barely see a thing
As the alarm begins to ring
Oh my god this is that summer gone
I'm all alone
Oh my god this is that summer gone
Welcome home
