Illustration Project: Asian Civilisation Museum

This is an illustration project for my last year of diploma in design communication

I have been commissioned by the Asian Civilisations Museum to create an illustration which celebrates

the rich history and culture of South-east Asia.

The topic that I have decided to focus on is the art of body modification done across the tribes in
South-east Asia as it was very exciting and it has definitely inspired me to create an interesting illustration=

Composition One

- Ink on paper, layered with colour transparency on black paper

Composition Two

- Ink on paper, layered with colour transparency on black paper

Composition Three

- Ink, markers and correction fluid on paper

Composition Four

- Ink and colour pencils on paper

After experimenting with the different composition, I went for the second composition as I thought it was really strong and portrayed the message very well.
