I recently tried a few new style tests to see how I could push the Post Impressionist angle into the aesthetic.
It was a task I couldn't figure out in school, but I've learned a lot since then.
This was the first real piece of art created for the project, and set the tone and the mood for everything hereafter.
The colors all had to be converted in post production to achieve the palate I was aiming for.  This specific blend would have been impossible by naturalistic light.  It also helped add to the overall dream-like atmosphere.

I experimented with many different effects to that made the room glow while also seeming hand painted.  I ultimately had to scrap the idea for time constraints.

The characters and the environment needed to be designed in black and white.  All of the colors were created by lighting alone.
