Default Systemz is a research project framed around a series of workshops initiated to discover the different graphic solutions within the Apple Macintosh computer using only the stock standard programs that come with a newly purchased system (iLife, Core Image Fun House, etc). This includes all applications, utilities and content which are provided on the basic system where no external content is allowed. Hacking standard operating system functions is paramount for Default Systemz. The main aim is to create an intuitive relationship with the computer by understanding its inner and outer working methodologies, inevitably bettering our experience as users and tailoring its use as a tool in graphic design and other daily activities.
