Designing the Western Horseman Cup for the National Cutting Horse Association was an unusual project for me. In addition to designing the cup, I also acted as project manger during the six-month project. Once the design was finalized, the silver cups were cast in India, then sent to London for finishing and finally shipped to Augusta, GA. In total, eight eighteen-inch and a single three and a half foot sterling silver trophies were commissioned. The winners of the National Cutting Horse Association’s World Finals were awarded one the smaller trophies and their names were recorded on the larger trophy.
