I was contacted by a member of Dockyard games to take part in the development of a mobile game as a game artist, it seemed like they took a liking to my pixelated game, Flappy Goldy fish, and so, we decided to make it in the same style. I developed sketches for the UI, the character and the visible objects on screen. It is a simple yet challenging game where you try to hook upwards as far as you can and avoid the mines while doing so and I really liked how it turned out.
The initial stages were all about concepts fot the main character, Garry and how the hook would work with the propeller hooks. Then we got to the mines, which are the obstacles and then the screens for the game.

We went through a few options for the diagramation for the screens and some testing with diferent colors as well as some revisions in the animations. In the end, we came to this result:

Additionally, a few months later, I was given the task to incorporate various power ups with different designs for hooks like the multiplier hook and the jetpack hook, which were included afterwards and made it more dynamic to play.
