Weather Warning App Design
ANEMO is a hurricane warning app that alerts you to advancing hurricanes. The design is based around a weather anemometer with a circular inforgraphic that slowly rotates around the screen. The app shows you three main pages. The information page gives you information on the hurricane such as the storm surge, wind speed, expected rain fall and your current danger level. The maps page shows you two versions based on your location, one shows the quickest route to safety from your current location and the other shows your nearest rescue centres and the final page is a social media page which allows you to communicate to people in your local area with information or advice about the hurricane.

On the information page, the colour coded system gives you a quick visual of the current hurricane risk in your area along with a typographic explanation. The infographics on the page rotate and increase or decrease depending on the current danger level and relates to the typographic information.
This map page shows your current location and your nearest communal rescue centres if it is to late for you to
evacuate the area.
The other section of the maps page which shows you the quickest routes out of the danger area based on your location.
The social media page allows for communication between people who might be involved in the hurricane. This could range from sharing advice and concerns or offering help to people after the storm in the form of blankets or canned foods.
