"The Unimagined Experience"

As the Visual Display intern at Anthropologie in Chevy Chase, MD and Georgetown, DC, I was able to demonstrate my creativity to the visual team and so progressed from basic intern responsibilities to more complex tasks. Training under the store's Display Coordinator, I collaborated on signage, displays, uppers, and fixtures for apparel and home concepts as we installed them. I was "loaned" to the visual team in Reston in September 2011, where I produced a wall installation that was designed by that store's Visual Manager. Additionally, I helped open two new stores in the DC area (the F Street and Old Town Alexandria locations).  My work is listed chronologically, from most recent to least.
Detail of wall installation in Georgetown, Washington DC. The original installation was created by the Senior Display Coordinator in winter 2011. I de-installed the original installation and translated it to a smaller room under her supervision in spring 2012.
This installation by Chevy Chase's cash wrap was designed by the Display Coordinator in early spring 2012, but I installed it under her supervision. Her original design was of a pyramid shape, but we collaborated to produce the final piece.
Uppers made out of paint swatches, to mimic a similar composition on an adjoining wall made my the Senior Display Coordinator of Georgetown. Made under the supervision of and conceptualized by Chevy Chase's visual team, spring 2012.
Chevy Chase's Display Coordinator let guide the composition of this display in spring 2012, as well as do the research of abstract painting techniques that I later replicated on the boxes. I also assisted in the production of the shelving.
