SSE's in-home display for Smart meters got a UI update to meet governmental requirements. To fit all this functionality into a very limited device seems like poor UX in the first place, but it had to be done.

 

Based on the functioanl requirements I started with oragnising the data through a card sorting excersize. I designed the screen layouts and navigational interactions and tested it on users with a paper prototype.
