Este proyecto presenta la elaboración de una escenografía para un anfiteatro de un colegio con elementos delimitantes como lo son el piso de porcelanato de color marrón y los colores a implementar: verde, negro, azul, amarillo, rojo y naranja, para la obra musical “El Ballet del Cascanueces” el cual es un cuento de hadas que fue encargado por el director de los Teatros Imperiales Ivan Vsevolozhsky en 1891.

 

La obra relata la aventura de Clara tras el regalo que le da su padrino un fabricante de juguetes en la noche de navidad, un cascanueces de madera, a pesar de que su hermano por envidia lo ha roto su padrino lo reconstruye y este cobra vida a la media noche luego de que todos ya se han ido a dormir. Donde a su vez bajo el árbol de navidad que ha crecido dentro de la casa de Clara se mantiene una batalla entre un ejercito de soldados de jengibres y ratones dirigidos por el rey de los ratones. El cascanueces al vencer la batalla se convierte en príncipe y juntos viajan hacia un bosque de pinos donde los reciben copos de nieves, hadas y reinas que bailan para darles la bienvenida. De allí llegan al reino de los dulces donde viven momentos mágicos y llenos de muchas celebraciones junto al hada del azúcar y el resto de los dulces. Tras esta maravillosa aventura Clara se despierta bajo el árbol navideño con su cascanueces de madera recordando alegremente el sueño vivido de esa noche.

 

Esta escenografía representa el momento en que el árbol navideño crece y empieza la aventura dentro del bosque de pinos y el reino de los dulces. Haciendo referencia al momento donde Clara se convierte en miniatura como el cascanueces y el resto de los personajes de la obra. Se desarrolla bajo la construcción de la parte inferior de un árbol inmenso hasta el techo y regalos semejando la víspera navideña. A su vez se colocaron telones y entretelones de fondos con texturas de pinos y copos de nieves dando a ver el bosque nombrado en la obra junto con un juego de luces para captar al espectador.

This work presents the development of scenery for an amphitheater of a school with boundaries elements such as brown porcelain floor and the implements colors: green, black, blue, yellow, red and orange, for the musical “The Nutcracker Ballet” which is a fairy tale that was commissioned by the director of the Imperial Theater Ivan Vsevolozhsky in 1891. 

 

The play recounts the adventures of Clara after the gift her godfather, a toymaker, gave her on Christmas Eve, a wooden nutcracker. Although his brother out of jealousy broke it her godfather rebuilds it and this comes alive at midnight after all went to sleep. Where, at the same time, under the tree that had grown in Clara’s house, a battle between gingers army soldiers and mice is maintained, this one led by the Mouse King. The Nutcracker overcomes this battle and he turns into a prince; together they travel to a pine forest where snowflakes, fairies and dancing queens welcome them. From there they go to the Kingdom of Sweets where they live magic moments and full of many celebrations along with the fairy sugar and the rest of sweets. After this wonderful adventure Clara wakes up under the Christmas tree with her wooden nutcracker remembering the dream lived last night. 

 

This scenery represents the time when the Christmas tree grows and the adventure begins in the Pine Forest and the Kingdom of Sweets. Referring to the moment where Clara turns into miniature as the nutcracker and the other characters of the play. This developed under a giant tree to the ceiling and gifts resembling the Christmas Eve. At the same time it had curtains and backstage curtains placed in the background with texture of pines and snowflakes giving view to the forest named in the play with a set of light to capture the viewer’s attention.
