This is a mattepainting that started out as a concept for anothe rcommissioned job. It was rejected but I wanted to complete the vision I already had, and now had the freedom to create what I really wanted.
I resurrected the source image to create this animation for my 2014 showreel. You'll notice there are some details that are slightly different as I used an older version to animate from. All animation was completed in After effects.
