I am starting a new project about the city of Charleroi. The project is about illustrating familiar expressions like « ma biche », « ma caille », « Hé m'tcho », etc. These common expressions are often used by local and surrounding population as friendly recognition's sign.
This project is all about minimalism Art. Simple forms to create an image. This is also a common expression in my region. It is like calling someone « HEY DUDE » litteraly translated by « MY DOE ». Like some other artists in Charleroi and its horizon, I try to beautify a simple word that sounds like a common/familiar language into an illustration made of refined forms.
