How to Be Good with Money💰 - Infographic Design
Client: Financial Education for New Immigrants in Canada
Objective: Educate new immigrants about effective money management strategies.
I was thrilled to embark on this project, as I strongly believe in the mission of educating new immigrants on financial literacy. Understanding how to manage money is crucial for anyone, and it’s particularly important for those adapting to a new country and financial system. This project resonated deeply with me, and I was eager to contribute my design skills to such a meaningful cause.
Design Journey
1. Ideation
Starting with brainstorming, I aimed to simplify key financial tips into an engaging and easy-to-follow format. The challenge was to make the information both accessible and visually appealing.
2. Research
Diving into research, I focused on the unique financial hurdles new immigrants face. I gathered insights on budgeting, saving, debt reduction, and more to ensure the infographic would be genuinely useful.
3. Planning
I outlined seven essential steps:
Create a Budget
Save Regularly
Reduce Debt
Build an Emergency Fund
Live Below Your Means
Educate Yourself

Sketching the layout was tricky, but I aimed for a logical flow that’s easy to navigate.
4. Design Implementation
Colors : I chose calm green and yellow to symbolize trust and growth. And Redist orange for creating the urgency to change.
Typography: I used clear, readable fonts for accessibility.
Visuals:
Added simple icons and illustrations to each step.
Kept descriptions brief and actionable.
5. Overcoming Challenges
Balancing clarity with visual appeal was tough. I revised the design multiple times based on client feedback and user testing to get it just right.
Conclusion
Creating this infographic was a rewarding experience, blending my design passion with a meaningful cause. I’m proud to help new immigrants in Canada take control of their financial future.
