This was a project from KISD (Köln International School of Design) and the topic was about genre and sports. Our main goal was to design a magazine considering different topics and approaches within the thematic. I interview Aira Bonfim, a Brazilian artists and historicist that curated an exhibition about the female football team in the football museum in Sao Paulo.
The color background (blue) can be understood as a contrast to what many people consider “women’s colors”and the use of red in the images tries to give the idea of empowerment, strength and perseverance, things that were necessary to women to grow as athletes.
The typefaces used were all designed by women:
