The theme of this publication is what kinds of Swedish lösgodis (candy by the kilo) would have representatives in the fruit kingdom in Sweden at the exact time of the year. It's combined with a research into the origin of the fruit and the candy producers. The fruit and candy was then brought home and photographed, around 400 photos was then sorted and edited. A grid was built to base the book on and a system depending on measures divideable with even points (pt) was developed. After doing the initial layout with the aim to look like a fashion look book I changed direction into an representation of document stacks for each fruit in the book, basing the chapters around the stacks instead of their content. Experimenting with binding the most suitable solution turned out to be a gluebinding. I decided on a textile clad cardboard as covermaterial, making the whole binding process a bit mathematical and troublesome but helping the book to look like a watermelon, with a green shell, pink cut, pink and red patterned first pages and a fruit sticker. The sticker replacing any written text on the cover as if it was a fruit.
