Children's wayfinding map

I was assigned the duty of creating a concept for a children's museum's wayfinding map. We were luckily given the freedom to pick out of 4 options and I decided to pick the science & engineering floor. I was really pushed to think beyond not only designing a sign but also to create assets and other motifs for the rest of the museum.
I really loved the idea of the room being as interactive and touchable as possible, so I wanted to use the chalkboard aesthetic throughout the floor and sign. With the whole floor covered in chalkboard it really gives children the opportunity to engage with the exhibits. I also created three little mascots that can be used for other floors or simply for merchandise.
