The Process and inspiration
I started this assignment off with sketches of letters. Most of the inspiration to my designs have meaning to them. Most of the letters are initials to either my children's names, husband, myself, parents, etc. The numbers are significate to me because I have always thought of my family in 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8. My husband and I are two, with my oldest we became three, then we had six children, I grew up with seven children, and there are eight of us with my children and husband.
The digital sketches came next, and from those six I had my husband and a few children talk about what they liked of each. Then after listening to the critique of my teacher, it became obvious that sketch one and four needed to be developed into the final compositions.
Then I took the two digital sketches and did 12 variations of each design, from those the final compositions were chosen.
