Бобрицька гімназія – це маленька, але дуже амбітна освітня інституція в Київській області, що пережила російську окупацію і зазнала серйозних руйнувань. Спільнота школи швидко згуртувалась, щоб усунути пошкодження: вставити вікна, замурувати стіни, полагодити освітлення, але команді хотілось більшого, ніж просто відновити стару школу. Бобрицька гімназія стала учасницею проєкту від організації EdCamp, який спрямований, перш за все, на якісні зміни в освітніх процесах, але також передбачає трансформацію шкільного простору, яка з перших обговорень і до реалізації проєкту ґрунтується на принципах партисипативного дизайну.
Bobryk Gymnasium is a small but a very ambitious educational institution in the Kyiv oblast that survived the russian occupation and suffered serious destruction. The school community quickly gathered to repair the damage: put in windows, brick up walls, fix lighting, but the team wanted more than just restoring the old school. Bobryk Gymnasium became a participant in the EdCamp project, which is mainly aimed at the qualitative changes in educational process, but also involves transformation of the school space, which from the first discussions to the implementation of the project is based on the principles of participatory design.
Фойє / Foyer
Для сучасної освіти час між заняттями не менш значимий, ніж формальний освітній процес. Для дітей важливе спілкування, активний відпочинок та можливість розслабитись і перелаштувати думки. Цей проект фокусується на двох центральних спільних просторах школи: фойє та їдальня. В просторі фойє ми облаштовуємо декілька функціональних зон: амфітеатр з мʼякими поверхнями та подушками, відокремлений від коридору меблевими нішами з полками для книжок та ігор; довгий стіл понад вікнами для читання або доопрацювання домашніх завдань та декілька інтерактивних поверхонь на стінах та колонах для колективних малюнків.
For contemporary education the time between the lessons is no less important than the formal learning process itself. Children need communication, active leisure as well as an opportunity to relax and reset their thoughts. This project focuses on the two central common spaces in the school: foyer and canteen. In the space of foyer we create several functional zones: amphitheater with soft surfaces and pillows separated from the corridor by furniture elements with seating niches and shelves for books and games; a long table along the windows for reading or finishing homework and several interactive surfaces on the wall and column for collective chalk drawings.

Спільний прийом їжі завжди спонукає до спілкування та об’єднання.
Світлий і затишний простір їдальні, де можна розміститись як великим класом, так і перекусити на перерві, сприяє розмірному і регулярному харчуванню, а також створює умови для обміну думками між заняттями. Проект переосмислює колишній простір сцени, створюючи амфітеатр, що перегукується з рішенням холу, а також передбачає нове вікно де раніше не було потреби в денному світлі. Кольорові зони маркують різноманіття варіантів розміщення дітей, а світла кольорова гама бадьорить і не перевантажує сприйняття.
Common meal always encourages interaction and communication. Light and inviting space of the canteen where the big group of kids can have lunch or one can snack during the break stimulates a healthy and regular diet as well as creates an environment for exchange between lessons. The project reorganises the former elevated stage structure transforming into an amphitheatre which refers to the foyer space and also proposes a new window for the space where the daylight was previously absent. The coloured zones mark diversity of possible sitting arrangements for children while the light colour palette energises but doesn’t sensory overload.
