2024 McDonald's Dragon In Guanghua Restaurant ｜NYGDESIGN
McDonald's Guanghua Restaurant, the first McDonald's restaurant in mainland China, has a history of more than 30 years. In the Year of the Dragon, NYGDESIGN has given Guanghwa a new skin that goes back to the “Golden Arches Hotel” of the 90's. Inspired by the classic game Mario's Drill Pipe, we designed a McDonald's Dragon that transforms from 3D to 2D pixels. The majestic McDonald's Dragon encircles the entire building, hovering along the restaurant's glass façade from the 3D image on top of the building, and then transforming into a 2D pixelated dragon when it enters the building, giving people a sense of spatial interlacing as if they had traveled to the world of the Mario game. People who come to Guanghwa Restaurant can receive good wishes from McDonald's Dragon: pat the dragon head, nothing to worry about; touch the dragon body, good things will happen; touch the dragon's tail, everything goes smoothly.Inside the restaurant, we created a rich retro pixel style, combined with McDonald's classic color scheme, a refreshing collision of retro and trendy. We hope to evoke nostalgia and at the same time help the brand to capture the hearts of young consumers with the unique charm of its design.
中国大陆第一家麦当劳餐厅“光华餐厅”，至今已有30余年历史。龙年新春，NYGDESIGN为光华餐厅换上限定新皮肤，回到90年代流光岁月里的“金拱门大饭店”。我们从经典游戏马里奥钻水管中获得启发，设计了一条从三维立体变成二维像素的“麦龙龙”。威风凛凛的麦龙龙环抱整栋建筑，从楼顶的3D形象，沿着餐厅玻璃外立面盘旋，进入到建筑内又变成二维像素龙，给人一种仿佛穿越到马里奥游戏世界的空间交错感。来到光华餐厅的人们，都能接收到“麦龙龙”发射的美好祝福：拍一拍龙头，万事不用愁；摸一摸龙身，好事会发生；摸一摸龙尾，顺风又顺水。在餐厅内部，我们营造出弥漫浓郁的复古像素风，结合麦当劳经典配色，复古与潮流的碰撞让人耳目一新。我们希望唤起人们怀旧情感的同时，也帮助品牌用设计的独特魅力收揽一批批年轻消费者的心。
