Mehendi + Welcome lunch
Designing the first event that starts off the wedding festivities is always a challenge- it is what sets the tone, it is where first impressions are formed. The first time we visited the venue on our recce, we were quite literally blown away- by the breeze and the colours of the space itself. The space naturally had such beautiful colours, the blue shades of water framed by hues of lush green, we only had to introduce a single pop of pink to the existing colour palette, and it was more than enough to convert the space into a festive Mehendi + Welcome lunch.
We look at our design interventions as site specific installations, which is why the ceilings of the structures here were conceptualised to interact with the wind, a feature which lends a dynamic quality to the space, and this sense of motion follows through in the linen and prints we customised for the space as well.
