Typeface Poster
For this project, we had to make a typeface post of a font that we were able to choose from from a given list. For my project, I decided to use Clarendon. With researching Clarendon, I grew to understand that the popularity of the font is rooted with the use of serifs, as it was very popular during its time. Clarendon was mainly used for newspapers, "Wanted" signs from the Old West, and National Parks in the United States.

With going into this project, I wanted have an homage to the previous usage of Clarendon. I had multiple different ideas/mockups for this project, but having the project be a newspaper worked the best for me. Generally with newspapers, there are different articles being divided. I wanted to convey this in my project, so I wanted to have the different styles of Clarendon to be the "articles" for my newspaper.  I generally wanted to have a basic layout of a newspaper in the 1850s, which was when Clarendon was first created. I wanted to have a C to truly emphasis the serifs on this typeface, to show the popularity and usage it of it.
