Centre for Research in Earth and Space Science — Visual Identity 2022
The Centre for Research in Earth and Space Science (CRESS) is a space research institute at York University focusing on planetary exploration, space technologies, and climate and the environment.
Prior to this project, the institute had plenty of design material to use for corporate conferences. However, they needed marketing material that would capture younger audiences. The main approach of the visual identity is to create designs that students could hang on their bedroom walls. Featuring vector illustrations and catchy slogans, the designs blend the charm of vintage space art with imagery grounded in the research CRESS undertakes. This project is in collaboration with three other designers under the Design Lab course in York University Design program. Collaborators: Serena Wong, Madeline Rubba, and Kristen Chan.
