Mavology is a natural skincare brand hand-crafted with the intention of self-love, empowerment and balance. Formerly 'Beauty N Simplicity,' this black-owned business spent five years perfecting its craft, offering hydrating and healing skincare. When founder Mavis sought a brand redesign, she aimed to elevate and reflect her purpose. Facing the challenge of a lengthy name, Mavology emerged—a fusion of "Mavis" and "Ology," embodying her journey and stories that could create a positive impact on how people perceive self-care. 

The rebranding journey began with a name change, simplifying the connection between design and storytelling. Mavis's personal experience with skin-related issues, coupled with inspiration from her trip to Essaouira, Morocco sparked the redesign concept. We customized the logo, imbuing it with a sleek, yet luxurious aesthetic, and a touch of uniqueness. We drew upon Essaouira's essence—the elements, people, culture, and colours—to craft a cohesive design system.

Shapes and illustrations blend seamlessly, drawing inspiration from the earth and natural elements, reflected in the chosen colors. Vibrant palm leaves, waves, and blue skies depicted on the packaging vividly capture the spirit of Morocco, symbolizing the day-to-night usage of serums through the sun and moon.
