All cross-shaped elements (4mm plexi glass C-shaped blocks slid into one another) had to be hand-placed onto the postion marks within the wooden mould. After the hand-pressed concrete mixture cures around them, they will be irreversibly encased and ready for final polishing, which will render them glass-like and perfectly see-through.

Although the architect's vision accounts for all key elements and their position, all has to be re-envisioned and re-modelled to utilize our manufacturing methods and account for concrete's unique proclivities (size and thickness limitations, tendency to flex and bend).
All is modelled in CAD - the construction, concrete cladding panels, wooden panelling & drawers and sent in drawings to our hand-picked carpenters and metal workers.

The whole set is pre-assembled and inspected before final transport to location, where it is then re-assembled by our small team of master installers:

The pattern was taken from the architect's 3D file, sent for CNC milling to create our foam moulds, which had to be epoxy-coated and sanded smooth, before concrete was cast:

A unique reception desk project as the drawer sets were upon our own carpenters to complete as well (sadly, although finished successfully they are not pictured in photos below).
