Album Cover Artwork for Berlin-based band "Merriment and Dirt" and their album "New Circus" is inspired by the theatre masks with two faces, also known as comedy and tragedy masks.
CONCEPT
Image of the the comedy mask grinning like a circus clown, filling the air with laughter and silly expressions. On the other side tragedy mask, resonating with the melancholy tunes of a heartfelt melody, exploring the depths of human emotion with each graceful twist and turn.
Through this artwork, created from the band's frontman's faces, I've captured the duality of the human and musical emotions. We all carry within us both "merriment and dirt", comedy and tragedy. It's a reminder that our emotions are complex, and every individual holds within them the full spectrum of human experience
