The new, innovative Data Scraping Charge Loop, or “DASCAL,” technology provides a way for secure, high-bandwidth transmission of data with no network, and with no autonomous power source needed on the remote chip or tag. Power is provided via the inductively coupled charging feature on IoT devices to “awaken” the chip or tag and engage push-pull transfer of information. This method blows open a panorama of use-cases for near-field wireless communications.
