Twisted, snaking or coiled, electric cables here trace lines which are in turn distinct and blurred, lending these compositions the aura of an expressionist painting. Rupturing the surface of these works, these black curves act as structuring elements, yet their solidity is undermined by their interplay with light. From hazy forms to sharper planes, textures vary in order to multiply possible materialities, and present the viewer with uncertain images that waver between the real and the dreamlike.
