A few months back I was lucky enough to work on an exciting series of posters for Central Market's Summer Beer Fest, bringing together two of my favorite things; beer and illustration! Needless to say, I was instantly on board the second I got the call. They needed 6 posters in total, the first one being a long format banner and the other 5 were posters of various beer styles (or flavors) which were each die cut to look like a six pack. 

 

The art direction was excellent from beginning to end. The AD had a very clear idea of the characters that would be representing each type of brew, but he still left me plenty of room to play around with their overall look as well as those little corner embellishments that tied all the pieces together. I think the biggest challenge was making sure each poster had it's own unique color scheme while still keeping them all bold and vibrant. Everything came together quickly and resulted in a very lush and playful series of images. This was one of those projects that kept a big goofy smile on my face the whole time I was working on it - Enjoy!
