The Birth of Messiah(2022)
This is a piece exhibited at the 2022 Urban Break.
'BIRTH OF MESSIAH' started from the idea that today's idol fandom culture and 2D character devotion culture may appear to future generations as something akin to religion or deified objects. Drawing inspiration from 15th-century religious iconography, I blended analog sensibilities with digital techniques for reinterpretation. The Sarah Bock girls are designed in the artist's unique style, each exuding a sense of sanctity. Emphasis was placed on decorative and detailed depictions, akin to religious paintings. The piece is crafted as an 'idol's paradise.
