The Manx Missile Art Installation - Fanart

The Manx Missile Art Installation - Fanart
When you stop and have a look at the incredible career of Mark Cavendish (affectionately known as The Manx Missile due to his incredible sprinting speed and heritage from the wonderful Isle of Man) and what he has accomplished it quite boggles the mind. From being World Road Race Champion to Olympic track medallist it is the Grand Tours and The Tour de France in particular that he has devoted the most effort and dedication to. Although he doesn't like to hear it he has drawn level with Eddy Merckx on 34 stage wins and this year in 2024 could break that number if things go well.

This art installation is dedicated to those incredibly hard fought 34 stage wins which has brought him a Yellow jersey, four Paris wins on the Champs Élysées and two overall Green jerseys for the best sprinter.

All we can say is 'Go Cav!' this June and July.

I've been so inspired lately by artists that display their large scale works in galleries and private residences and James Jean in particular has really caught my imagination. So this art installation is the start of a new series hopefully of some more larger pieces that take on a whole new form. Exciting times ahead.

Thank you for viewing and hope you like what you see!
